Willie Neal Johnsons Beerdigung fand im Harvey Hall Convention Center in Tyler, Texas statt. Johnson starb am 10. Januar 2001 an einem Schlaganfall. Er war Gospelsänger.
Johnson, geboren 1935, begann schon als Kind Gospelmusik zu singen. Er trat mit der Gospel Keynotes-Gruppe auf, die eine Grammy-Nominierung erhielt. Später änderte die Gruppe ihren Namen in New Keynotes. Ihre Songs "I'm Yours, Lord" und "Lord, Take Us Through" waren Hits. Die Gruppe erhielt Aufnahme in die Gospel Music Hall of Fame und die American Gospel Quartet Hall of Fame.
Johnsons Frau und acht Kinder haben ihn überlebt.
